Cultural activities and entertainment also abound,  such as live theatre, gourmet restaurants and abundant shopping. North Conway  is the central location for many things to do in the Mt. Washington Valley which  is surrounded by the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  There are many activities in towns around  North Conway  such as Jackson, and Bartlett.  Since 1771- The Farm By the River B and B with Stables is just two miles from downtown North Conway. The inn has a ten room Inn on 70 scenic acres along the Saco River with year round equestrian stables. SPRING 2008

MARCH :

March 28,29,30 - 5th Annual March Maple Madness Weekend - A Maple Sugaring Event That Will Tap Your Sense of Whimsy,   Take this tour and take advantage of our two night stay package with tickets included. The March Maple Madness is an inn-to-inn tour where guests can sample maple selections, both savory and sweet at each participating inn and partner places. See our packages. The March  Maple Madness  is part scavenger hunt, part road rally, where guests/participants have the opportunity to earn points as they drive a tour route guided by directions "riddled with clues". . The guest/participant who receives the most points along the way will win a grand prize valued at over $400!

July 11,12,13 and 18,19,20- Conway Scenic RR- DAY OUT WITH THOMAS ™ Join Tomas the Tank Engine, everyone's Number 1 engine, as he greets friends of all ages. Ride a train led by Thomas and meet Sir Topham Hat, the Controller of Thomas's railway. Enjoy a day of fun-filled activities with the whole family.
 

July 12th - Newton's Revenge-This hillclimb will be contested on exactly the same course as the historic Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb – the toughest hillclimb in the world. This new addition is in response to the overwhelming popularity of the MWARBH and this year will benefit the Mt Washington Observatory and other non-profits. The intent of this second hillclimb is to satisfy the demand for bicycle racing on this hill and to raise money, but it will only be conducted in a way that will not hinder the Tin Mountain Conservation Center's ability to raise funds in the future through the annual Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb held in August. Auto Road will be open to the public from 12:30 pm until 6:00 pm.

July 17th - Arts Jubilee Concert in Schouler Park , North Conway The concert is free to the public, bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chairs. Refreshments available. Convenient parking within steps of the concert area, and indoor restroom facilities. An early concert by local dancers is at 6 PM, the Maine State Ballet takes the stage at 7:30 PM.

July 31st - Arts Jubilee Outdoor Festival Symphony Pops Concert & fireworks Arts Jubilee continues our 26th year of presenting spectacular outdoor concerts on Thursday evening, July 31st with a performance by the North East Symphony Orchestra on the festival stage at the base of the north slope at Cranmore Mountain Resort, host sponsor. A spectacular fireworks display will be the grand finale. The concert is free to the public, bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chairs. Refreshments available. Convenient parking within steps of the concert area, and indoor restroom facilities. An early concert by the valley’s own Dennis and Davey is at 6 PM, the Symphony takes the stage at 7:30 PM

AUGUST:

August 3rd - Mt. Washington Auto Road Sunrise Opening    4:00 am - 6:00 pm View the sunrise from the top of New England! The Mt. Washington Auto Road will open at 4:00am for you to drive yourself to the summit.
