Policies and restrictions apply to all packages. You must tell us which package you would like at the time of booking. Packages must be paid in full at time of booking and they are non-refundable, are non-cancellable, and no part of the package is redeemable in cash. Packages are based on double occupancy unless stated otherwise.

 

For those packages with a stables component: If the weather is  inclement and we believe it would be unsafe to go out for a ride, and it is impossible to re-schedule during your stay, we will give you a voucher to be used within the year you have booked. Please note that for horseback riding we have weight, height and age restrictions.

Around Halloween the Farm By the River's and our affiliate innkeepers host an Inn to Inn tour of the White Mountains bed and breakfasts and inns. Inn guests tour each of the nine inns on the 31st- Halloween- and enjoy a prepared treat at each inn and receive a souvenir recipe collection. Inn guests have an opportunity to compete for a host of prizes.  Prize awarded for the best costume. Prices from:  $295 (for a queen with private bath.).   The Ghoullog: What is it?

Board the quad chairlift at Mt. Cranmore, North Conway for a night-time ride to the summit for a haunted mountain-top tour. It includes haunts, and animatronics.

The attraction is recommended for ages 10 and up and parental discretion is advised. Be prepared to be scared!... and also for the weather and chairlift ride. 7pm -10pm. Rain or shine.

Ride a Horse and Be a Cowgirl Workshop & Getaway 

 June 20th to 25th 2010

Back by popular demand: Package includes: 5 nights lodging including tax, breakfast each morning, 4 lessons, 5 trail  rides,  2 evening sessions.

4 nights possible also.

 

It is all about YOU, having fun in an informal atmosphere, developing confidence and learning the fundamentals of horsemanship for 5 days. It will be a fun-filled time designed for women 12 yrs old and up-whether you are a mother, sister, daughter or girl friend who wants to learn more about horse care, ground skills and riding skills.$1190.- 1 person 1 room; $2000-2 people 1 room; two room suites for 3-4 people available. We can accommodate a friend, husband, or  boyfriend, who wants to come but not participate in the workshop. Professional trainer- instructor, Michele Hernandez, has 31 years of experience with horses. She has trained with Olympic riders, is a professional eventer, and has worked with Kenny Harlow, a well known trainer.  Four person maximum, two person minimum for workshop.

As a member of the "Bed and  Breakfasts Inn the Mount Washington Valley" the Farm is one of the members hosting" March Maple Madness Weekend"- an  inn to inn tour Sat. 27th and Sun. 28th event from 11:00-4:00pm!

Participate on two levels: Option One: Take a Self- Guided Tour of the participating inns, where ticket holders will sample maple selections at various inns and shops and receive a booklet of participating inns with maple recipes". Option Two: Scavenger hunt for clues: Besides participating in Option 1, some of the participants may wish to participate more fully in the tour and gather "points" toward WINNING PRIZES as they travel a specific route guided by directions "riddled with clues". Along the way they must seek answers to questions, gather objects and artifacts, and visit each participating Inn and Maple Country Partners. PRIZES include a stay at your favorite participating inn, a  carriage or sleigh ride  for two here at the Farm by the River and other gifts from participating partners. This event is open to non-inn guests for $15/person/ticket.

Value Added Options:

 Inn guests participating in maple madness-Upgrade to a romantic Victorian sleigh ride for two. Add on a maple themed dinner at one of our participating  inns.

 Green INNtervention Eco Event: TBA  June 2010

 The Bed and Breakfasts Inn Mt. Washington Valley, NH is the first lodging association with 100% membership pledged to sustainability and individually certified by either the NH or ME sustainable Lodging & Restaurant program. As members, the Farm by the River B and B with Stables along with 9 other inns will host the 2nd “green” Inn-to-Inn event.

By touring the different inns, ticket holders with track down treasures as well as pick up pointers on how to create a greener life by providing info. on ways to reuse, reduce, recycle, and reducing the carbon footprint by buying locally or growing your own food. 10am to 5pm-Rain or Shine

The Farm by the River will be giving a demonstration on using edible flowers to literally or visually spice up your favorite dish.  The Farm will also talk about improvements we have taken to an eco-friendly inn. In addition, the inns will be hosting an eco-friendly Yankee swap, so bring a few items to swap (a way of recycling and not spending cash!) some of the inns will have an old-fashioned yard sale at this time also. In addition all the ticket holders that visit all 9 inns will be eligible to win $200 worth of prizes. If you wish to participate in Inn-to-Inn Yankee Swap- bring about 5-10 items to swap at a variety of inns. All proceeds go to selected scholarship funds and other local organizations.
